Mafia Wars Money Strategy

When to use the Bank in Mafia Wars

To use the bank in Mafia Wars is generally a wise decision, because your hard earned (or stolen) cash is safe from any thievery in there. But there are some cases where banking your cash is actually not the wisest thing to do. That 10% laundering fee may seem small at first, but you need to see it in perspective before deciding if it's worth the risk. This may get a bit complex but I'll try to keep it nice as simple for you all!

Your total money shown on the game dashboard is just the cash you have on hand. You need to combine that money with your banked money to get your real total amount. Most of you know that 10% of the amount you deposit gets deducted as the bank's laundering fee. Now there's no penalty for withdrawing money from the bank. Likewise, it doesn't gain any interest while sitting there. It just sits.

If you get attacked with no cash on hand, you only lose health points if you lose the fight. You have to figure out based on your income if you're losing over 10% of your cash to fights. If so, it's better to not use the bank in Mafia Wars and just keeping it on hand. The amount you lose in fights is capped at $65,000 and doesn't increase with your income, unlike the bank's laundering fee.

For example, if you lose an average of 3 fights an hour and you make $10 million an hour, the fee will be $1 million if you try to use the bank in Mafia Wars! That enormously outweighs your fight losses of $195,000 in that hour. We all know math sucks but it's worth doing to save your money, folks!

The general rule to no longer use the bank in Mafia Wars is at $6.5 million an hour. Of course, this is only generally speaking and will vary on how often you use the bank in Mafia Wars, how many times you get attacked, etc. Watch and calculate your own individual financial situation on whether or not to use the bank in Mafia Wars.
